Vibrant Miami !

Miami is a vibrant city known for its lively cultural scene, stunning beaches, and diverse influences.

Having said this, it’s not one of my favourite cities.  It is quite flashy and I don’t feel that it’s a great place to visit with Kidsetters.  Ironic for someone that would take their Kidsetter to Las Vegas every year.  At least in Las Vegas you can hide from the seediness quite easily, Miami, not so much.

We always make the best of it, and we certainly enjoyed the Art Deco District.

The Miami Beach Architectural District embodies the design continuum of the city from it’s early development period in the 1910’s to the construction boom following World War II.

This district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.  It’s one square mile area includes over 800 significant structures.

The city’s nightlife is legendary, offering everything from upscale clubs to local bars pulsing with music.

We strolled along Miami Beach which stretches approximately 7 miles along the Atlantic Ocean.

Our 8-year-old Kidsetter enjoyed a dip in the refreshing ocean.

Next, we visited the Wolfsonian which is a museum and research center celebrating design, art, and history with diverse collections and exhibits.

Art Deco is not a singular style instead it is the result of a search by designers and artists for ornament that was suited to modern times.

Next, we meandered to Espanola Way which is a charming, historic street known for its Mediterranean Revival architecture, lively ambiance, and vibrant cultural scene.

Located in the heart of South Beach, it is a pedestrian-friendly experience with diverse dining options, boutique shops, and entertainment.  We were fortunate to experience an extra cheerful atmosphere during Christmas celebrations.

With its warm climate, Miami is a year-round destination, inviting visitors (maybe not Kidsetters though) to experience its energetic spirit and coastal beauty.
